Last October, during the new concert series Incógnito I presented my collaborative piece Dans les noirceurs – Three stages of black. This piece is a collaboration with the visual artist Elia Navarro and the poet Georgi Gill. I really enjoyed working with both of them and soon we will have new versions of the piece: orchestral and installation.
All the elements of the piece reflect three different perceptions of the colour black: the darkness, a black object and the shadow. The layout of the performers on the stage (and off stage) represents the idea of a single element (mezzo soprano) that goes through the previously mentioned stages of black. The components of the piece and the different techniques used reproduce a transition from an unseen object hidden in the dark, the exhibition of the black object and finally, the projection of its shadow.

Last September I participated in the Manchester Contemporary Youth Opera. It was an amazing experience, I had the chance to meet amazing people and at the same time, learning so much. The result was a performance of 5 very different operas. I feel so lucky to have contribute to that by composing one of them, In the Hope of Rain. I was also so lucky to to have a very inspiring text by the poet Andrew Turner and have some art projection by Roland Keogh. Thank you very much to everyone making it possible, musicians, directors, organisers, everyone! It was amazing! I am looking forward to see the performance of new pieces this year. Please watch these amazing musicians!
Times flies! It seems it was yesterday I was enjoying the performance of my audiovisual piece Triptych. I really enjoyed that experience, musicians and painter were fantastic. The event was a great success!
Here you can watch a video of the performance on 18th October. I hope you enjoy it!
(ENG) Quand les pôles opposés… (2017) arises from the idea of contrasting motifs which attract and complement each other. However, there is also the possibility that these diverse motives become a single one, then they will be abruptly separated following the electromagnetic force principle. The instrumentation is divided into three groups.: flute and cello, bass clarinet and violin, and piano. The first two groups represent each of the two poles, which are sometimes different but sometimes also become just one. Conversely, the piano exerts a magnetic force that sometimes bursts into the piece as a union or separation depending on the relationship existing between the other instruments.
